Firstly let me say that I am yet to find a wing with good underwater performance. They all seem to bunch up and the air cells flood, not to mention the lines getting tangled around your feet.

I am amazed how many pilots around my local flying sites move on to 2's and 2/3's with as little as a hundred hours. Admittedly, coastal soaring is big here ..... but they are stuck with the same wings when they go inland.
I have also had the pleasure in flying in Fiesch in tricky lee-side conditions, when many of the comp wings were twitchy, my Sprint woud power through and even accept the speed bar. Imagine beating a comp wing on a glide!
