Upload a photo on this blog that sums up your perfect Alpine flying experience before September 30th 2010. The winning picture will win a free holiday with us here in Verbier in 2011.

Alpine all around yum

3 Years to take this photo! The Alpine scenery was too perfect to stick my feet in front of. It shows the transition after crossing from Zinal, the final and greatest hurdle before you make it to Zermatt. Notice the lack of thermal triggers!
I used to ski in Zermatt, then I learned to fly in Verbier, so somehow the flight paralleling the classic Haute route has always been irresistible to me.
This flight is across the grain of the Alps, and explains why Verbier is such a great place to fly XC ….. on the right day, you have extreme territory within reach. Oh, and no crowds. Ok, actually no one at all!
On my 4th try, I made it this June, and penetrated into territory that doesn’t seem that friendly to a humble paraglider.
